The standard of the lodge surpassed all our expectations and as ever staff (especially Craig it has to be said) made our stay as welcoming as the first. Having been before several times, we knew what to expect, but this lodge was the best by far. Fishing brill, lake 2 was the best for big carp! BBQ, Spar and BBQ hut FANTASTIC. See you again soon!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the weather has been lovely. Cedar "excellent" hot tub and sauna now a must. Visited Melton Mowbray, Belvoir castle, Nottingham, Twin lakes, Wistow Maze.

Had a great time, the lodge is amazing. We'll definitely be coming back. Hopefully for two weeks next time. The boys loved the fishing they had 12 carp on the last day from lake 2!!

What a find! I came across this place on the internet and feel like we've found the treasure! I wanted to take the kids on a special treat for doing so well at school and they have absolutely loved staying here. They were happy to stay at the lodge everyday because they simply adored the hot tub, but we did manage to coax them away a few times. We had a fab couple of days on the bikes at Rutland waters. The staff were really welcoming when we arrived on the Friday, Late after an awful journey. The Champagne and the hot tub soon helped us to relax . Just what we needed! Food & Fishing , the weather has been lovely. Cedar "excellent" hot tub and sauna now a must. Visited Melton Mowbray, Belvoir castle, Nottingham, Twin lakes, Wistow Maze.

I have invented a new star rating 6* as this is what the lodge is - too die for as you say in your website. Shame about weather, 2nd time of trying to have a sunny week here, just means will have to come back next year for third time lucky, what a shame!!
One extra luxury, internet access would be nice for us fishing widows as no mobile broadband works here. I know I am sad but hey modern life. We will be back rest assured to enjoy this luxurious place. Thanks for everything.

We have visited many lodges plus fishing venues. Eye Kettleby Lakes is definitely the best so far. Re-booking is a must. A credit to all concerned.

This was our second visit (Cedar last time) and found the lodge very good, didn't matter about fishing, weather was ok but who needs that when you stay in a lodge like this!! Hot tub lovely bubbly (used daily). Had a fantastic time and as Arnie says "I will be back". Everybody helpful. See you all again.

Came here for a surprise 50th Birthday treat for my husband. We both had a fab weekend. The lodge is beautiful and surroundings to die for. Will be back for a week next time. Lake 2 excellent apparently! Thanks

Was bought here for birthday surprise and my boyfriend proposed in the hot tub drinking champagne under the stars!! Great weekend, so relaxing just what we needed. Hoping to come back for new year and will defiantly recommend to family & friends.

Had a lovely 4 day break in Hawthorn lodge. Really impressed with lodge & hot tub. Pitty about weather, but still caught loads of small fish "kids loved it" See ya again in July when we visit the Chestnut lodge

What a lovely place to stay! We've had a ball and especially loved the hot tub. The scenery is beautiful and we will definitely be back!! Off back home to sunny Liverpool now. Thanks for such a fantastic break.

What a beautiful place, despite the temperatures being in the minuses, it just made the hot tub appreciated more and the scenery even more stunning. The lodge was great, everything we needed and more. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family and hopefully be returning ourselves. 2 Happy bunnies : ) xx

First time here - wont be the last. Your attention to detail makes everything so stress free & relaxing. Staff friendly & efficient and who would have expected such a class clubhouse at a fish lake!

Our first time at Eye Kettleby Lakes. Fishing on cabin pond excellent. Had over 100 fish on one occasion. Log cabin is wonderful. Staff were very friendly. Will be coming back next year. Will tell family & friends what a wonderful place this is!!

Wow!! Everything about this place is fantastic.. Facilities, views, hot tub. It even snowed on our first anniversary & you can't beat an outdoor hot tub, Champagne & snow to make a truly relaxing weekend. Second visit to Eye Kettleby Lakes- Just as good as the first time. Fishing good for winter, 4 fish from lake 2 up to 14lb. Everything excellent from accommodation to hot tub. Can't wait to come again next year!

First time here and well worth the short drive from Cornwall - truly magical and feel so relaxed as soon as arrived. Children loved all the space & we loved the first class accommodation, with all the homely touches! We could stay forever and will be returning so very soon - Thank you for a wonderful stay - we loved it!!

What a fantastic place. Going homea little sad at having to leave. Loved the lodge and hot tub & OMG the bed!! Fantastic fishing (personal best) 26lbs 4oz out of Lake 2. Total for the day 76lbs. Thanks for a wonderful stay. See you again. Also, if you like indian take-away Simla is the best 100%.

3rd visit to this amazing place. Immaculate lodge, perfect weather (sunny 25*) all weekend. Superb relaxing weekend, fantastic fishing on Lake 2, again loads of Carp. Many double figures, superb!!!Will come back again.

Eye Kettleby Lakes is a credit to the owners! Very clean and comfortable-we loved the extras like the tub, dishwasher and washing machine. Our first experience of a hot tub & we loved it. Loved the space & landscaped areas around each lodge. Thank you for allowing dogs . Melton country park is great for dog walking. Thank you for a very relaxing break, we would love to return.
